Our bustling city of Birmingham will this month be bought to life with fashion fabulous designers from all over the world as it plays host Birmingham International Fashion Week 2014! With everything from must see museums to a fabulous array of high street shopping, our second city is often overlooked for it's fantastic attractions!

Over the weekend of Birmingham International Fashion week, why not take all the fabulous fashion inspiration you receive and take a look at all of the glamorous shopping locations around the city! Whilst staying at our sponsored hotel Hotel La Tour, you are in the perfect reach of the cities must have shopping locations. Hotel La Tour is located perfectly behind the humming Bullring Shopping centre, containing all the high street stores any fashionista could need to look gorgeous for Fashion week! Also located within the Bullring, is of course the famous Selfridges, full of fab designer labels, high street favorites and of course a tasty array of home grown and international cuisine, wonderful for a well need break between shopping.

With the ever glam Harvey Nichols, and a mixture of exclusive salons, you can really pamper yourself before the catwalk shows at Birmingham International Fashion week to ensure your thoroughly catwalk ready.

If you prefer a quirky individual nature to your ensemble then Birmingham's Historic markets and large amounts of vintage outlets are just a stroll away from Hotel La Tour and are really a must see when visiting the city. The Custard Factory, as well as being the host location to many events, the area boasts many vintage boutiques and even it's own vintage salons to really nail that must have 50's look! There are markets aplenty in the city centre to locate those quirky individual pieces, with Birmingham colourful rag market being just a stroll away from Hotel La Tour.

Finally to complete any fashion week worthy look, you defiantly need some jewels and accessories to stand apart from the crowd. There is no where better than Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter to grab a stunning selection of hand crafted jewelry. A place in Birmingham's history, the jewelry quarter boasts an gorgeously stunning array of jewelry boutiques as well as a host of museums and cafés.

FAB VINTAGE FROM WHAT ALICE FOUND AT BIRMINGHAM INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK 2014

Vintage Dorset company What Alice Found is owned and managed by vintage enthusiast Nicki Grainger! After studying for a degree in fashion journalism, and diplomas in both marketing and professional styling, Nicki launched her vintage wonderland to showcase her collection of vintage paraphernalia and share her passion for styling by launching her very own creative styling agency.

Nicki hand selects her vintage items from all over the UK, Europe and Los Angeles and brings them home to her fabulous Pop up shop based on the Dorset coast! Nicki's love for collecting unusual items has even led to her home being photographed by fashion magazines showcasing her eccentric styling. After being known for her love of collecting and being nicknamed Alice in Wonderland by her friends and family, the name sake was born!

Nicki herself is a stylist and has dressed theatre productions and styled a number of high profile photo shoots, that have provided the base for her creative styling agency that she currently runs along side What Alice Found!  

Nicki has earnt tremendous recognition for her fabulous vintage inspired window dressing and visual merchandising skills in store and beyond, as well as staging many photo shoots from London to Paris! What Alice Found's celebrity fans include Pearl Lowe and ASOS.com and she has recently received a nomination in the National Vintage Awards 2013.

Birmingham International Fashion Week AW14 tickets are on sale now!! Get your ticket for the 2nd annual International Fashion Week in Birmingham. We are bringing you the 2nd instalment of Birmingham International Fashion Week and some of the most breathtaking runway shows held in the stunning Birmingham City Banqueting Suite in Victoria Square. Having marked the successful launch in 2013 with over 12 Runway Shows showcasing designers from around the world, 2014 is set to be even bigger and presenting you with new fashion talent from around the globe! See the latest Autumn/Winter 14 collections before hitting the designer showrooms for an option to browse & buy. 2014 also sees the launch of "Show & Sell" Designer Showroom, introducing designers from around the world, selling accessories and fashion whilst presenting you with a 'fashion installation'. This is new for BHMFW 2014 and new to Birmingham!

Relax with a glass of Maurice Vendôme exclusive Grand cru Champagne between Runway shows and admire unique art pieces from some of the best UK and International artists. Enjoy a chat with the lovely Miss Birmingham 2013 Rachel Barker and Miss World contestant Miss Jamaica 2013.
