First phase of runway and showroom designers for 2014 shows have been confirmed
Birmingham, United Kingdom, November 22, 2013 –
The 2nd annual fashion week in Birmingham announces the first phase
of worldwide designers for 2014 show. The anticipation is huge as the international
theme remains with designers showing from France, Romania, USA and Costa Rica,
there will be outstanding fashion to see for everybody.
Textures:
The fine Clothing
A new refined line of clothing is born with influence of modern fashion. Fashion at Textures embodies a spirit of Modern, Vintage and Luxury, with each style and design defined in its making and creation. Head based in Paris, France is inspired and specialises in beautiful and intrinsic hand embroideries, beadings, and surface ornamentations turning simple textiles into timeless luxury pieces. Textures will be showing on the AW14 Runway on Friday 28th February.
Amanda Rae
Amanda Rae Hartman was born and raised in Buffalo, NY; she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in San Francisco at 22. Her designs are inspired by the 1950's era of elegance and class with the attitude of an outlaw. She finds new ways to break and bend the rules of fashion that may be described as having "retro-class with a badass twist". RaeRevolution Couture Wear is available at the AW14 Designer Showroom.
Nickel
Clothing
The Nickel G line was introduced by its founder Nicholas Giovanni Larkins from Mississippi, USA, after he gained fame as a radio personality and assistant promotions director. Nickel G also was a disc jockey and radio personality in Jackson, Mississippi, creating a following for his own program, The Giovanni Soul Show. Nickel Clothing Ready to Wear will be available to see and buy in AW14 Designer Showroom.
Hazel
Gonzales
Born in San Jose, Costa Rica a huge design lover from the early years. All pieces are 100% hand made with silver 950. Collection is inspired by Costa Rica's nature to design exclusive jewelry and offer great pieces of wearable art. ‘In my collections I use recyclable silver. She believes it is a way to help the planet and give the final product a high quality guarantee.’ Hazel’s Jewellery will be available at the AW14 Designer Showroom.
Lavinia Nistor Design
Lavinia comes from a family of artists, she grew up in a spiritual country and has been passionate about art all her life. She studied sculpture in college of Art in Buzau, Ceramics Arts in the University of Bucharest and an MA in Fashion Design. Now a successful womenswear designer, Lavinia is expanding into European markets in 2014. Lavinia Nistor Designs will be available at the AW14 Designer Showroom.
Stevie Boi
Stevie Boi was born in Georgia, USA but raised overseas. Stevie has designed Pieces for Lady Gaga's new album "ARTPOP". Stevie Boi™ now specialises in high fashion, runway, ready-wear shades and accessories. He has since designed for countless celebrities (Beyonce, Fergie, Lady Gaga, Snooki, Meagan Goode, Dev, Amber Rose, Nicki Minaj, Kat Graham and more) and has been featured in countless magazines (Vogue Italia, Vogue Germany, Vogue Japan, Elle, Glamour, Vocab, Xex, YRB and many more). His shades can be seen in Nicki Minaj's video with Cassie "The Boys" and in Beyonce's "Diva" and in Lady Gaga's "Love Game" video and Dev's "In The Dark". Stevie is the headline designer for BHMFW AW14 showing on Saturday 1st of March.
New for 2014, will be the exciting ‘Show
& Sell’ opportunity for our worldwide designers, where we are giving the one-off
opportunity to sell the old collection and showcase the new collection during
the 2-day fashion week. Designers will be able to sell & showcase using
models at their presentation area by having an ‘installation’. Public, press
& media and buyers will be able to get up close and personal with the
garments, see the models wear them, buy and meet with the designer. BHMFW is
the ONLY show in the UK offering ‘Designer Installation’ experience to the
public, press & media.
Miss Birmingham 2013 Rachel Barker, will be
attending the Fashion Week on both days and answering your questions, she will also
be available for ‘meet & greet’, photos and interviews. More information on

Tickets for AW14 will be available to purchase online and in selected outlets from mid December. No standard tickets will be sold, as this is an ‘Invitation Only’ event.
