A weekend filled with emerging British and International designers showcasing their AW13 collections. If you love fashion, it is an event not to miss out on!

BIRMINGHAM FASHION WEEK ROCKS EVENT

Birmingham International Fashion Week are happy to announce their Kick Off Event in association of Kerrang Radio! Helping to raise money and awareness of Cash for Kids Charity.

The event will be taking place on the 1st March at Custard Factory Gibb Street Warehouse at 7pm. The night will be full of UK bands a their will be something for everyone.

INTERNATIONAL FASHION STUDENT COMPETITION

Birmingham Fashion Week will host the first International Fashion Student Competition as we seek the best and most creative fashion students around the world.
Winners are announced on the website a week before the Runway Shows and the winner will get to showcase the whole collection free on the Runway at Birmingham Fashion Week 2014.

Entry Requirements:

To be eligible to participate in the competition, you must meet the following requirements:

1. You must be currently enrolled in a fashion design, merchandising or management program/degree in any college or university in the world
2. Must be able to produce a look book with at least 8 different looks AW13

Students are also required to produce the following:

1.   Season of the competition: AW2013
2.   Theme:  Your ideal catwalk collection for AW13 BFW2013 Catwalk. What would be your perfect collection and latest seasonal looks to present if you were a runway fashion designer showcasing at BHMFW2013 in March 2013.
3.    Category: Womenswear (Haute Couture, Evening wear or Ready To Wear only)

1. Please submit your lookbook in JPEG or PDF format
2. A short biography in English language
3. State clearly the category you are representing

All submissions must be emailed to competition@bhmfashionweek.com

Deadline for submissions is February 28th , 2013. Finalists will be announced a week before the Fashion Week on the website.
