Rihanna is not one to shy away from showing her sexualality and is no wall flower and is more than at home with being provocative and what a perfect match with Kate Moss. There is definitely an element of 50 Shades of Grey... with whips, lace bodysuits and dominatrix!

It is the perfect mix of high fashion and sensuality, they both represent us girls perfectly!

So here are a selection of our favourite looks from Lookbook.nu which have been posted in the past 24 hours...

Four very different looks, but all brilliant in their own way! Let us know what you think, and which is your favourite?

Firstly we couldn't resist this look from Mira B. With elegant, classy and polished imagery and styling, good composition and photography and great expression, this photo wouldn't look amiss as a an editorial image.

 

Another of our faves is this fabulously outrageous look from Andre J.

We love the Jan Garcia couture jacket, and the styling is excellent. With reference to the new Batman film which has just been released,  this look is brilliant.

We love this dreamy look by Ashley D. The nostalgia feel with the adorable cherub print tee and floaty skirt teamed with chunky studded bangles and on-trend flatforms gives this look some edge. We likee!

Last but not least is this fresh look from Heidi K which utilises a fabulous colour palette! We love the bright turqouise shade which is perfect for a summer look. The co-ordinated platforms give a polished yet quirky edge to this look, and flowing un-styled locks help keep this look casual.

SUPER COOL NEW FIND: IVORY JAR

We were so excited by our recent find today that we had to share it with you. We saw the most eye catching photos on Lookbook.nu by 'Ivory Jar Ivory Jar' (check out their profile here)

Then to our delight we found out they are a fashion brand based in London (homegrown!) with a website you can check out here. The product range is brilliant, and so current. The collection is futuristic, edgy, and uber cool.

We like. We love.

FACE MASKS/HEAD COVERINGS...RECURRING TREND?

Face-coverings...Head-coverings...Masks...whatever you want to call them...are definitely hot on the catwalk at the moment, as noted from the recent and quite frankly amazing Haute Couture Fashion Week!

Ornate, beautiful yet sightly disturbing types at avant-garde Maison Martin Margiela were vintage-inspired, embellished with dazzling crystals.

Giambattista Valli used them even more theatrically, creating serenly beautiful netting over the model's faces, some adorned with delicate butterflies, with iconic imagery not dissimilar to that used for Silence Of The Lambs.

Quite frankly, these are both tasteful takes on the somewhat bizarre accessory, but here are a few we dug up which really weren't our cup of tea....

So a couple of years ago, this (wolf/pig/not sure quite what) featured during Berlin Fashion Week. Top marks for creativity and thinking out the box...but somehow this look really just isn't for us.

This next bizarre look was back in 2009, appropriately around the same time Swine Flu was dominating the media and causing mass panic. These disturbing gas masks featured during Rosemount Fashion festival in Sydney, and were created by Stand house design. Definite Zeitgeist, but for fashionability? Not so keen.

BAMBI & MANSON : FRESH NEW FASHION BRAND!

We LOVE this new fashion brand, Bambi and Manson!  In their own words,

"Bambi is the cute side with denims featuring frills, floral and fluff. Manson is the edgier side featuring Leather, Crucifix’s, studded pockets, rips and frays."


They are a boyfriend/girlfriend duo who customize pieces of clothing (particulary denim shorts and cute cropped tees, and denim jackets; everyones must-haves for summer), and even give you the option of creating your own custom shorts!




These shorts are AMAZING! Customized shorts are the best, so save getting your own hands dirty and leave it to the experts! And check out the jackets and tees below...Love!












We don't know about you, but us girls in the office are particulary loving tie die and studs, so this has to be our faveee up-and-coming brand!

LOUIS VUITTON TO COLLABORATE WITH YAYOI KUSAMA

At 83 years old, Yayoi Kusama has been considerably overlooked over the years. The quirky avant garde Japanese artist who has voluntarily made a psychiatric hospital her home for a number of years, is renowned for her almost obsessive use of polka dots in her work.

Kusama is a fascinating lady, well known for her eccentric nature, style, vision and love of brightly coloured wigs. So when Louis Vuitton anounced the collaboration with the artist after Marc Jacobs paid her a visit, we were intrigued.

The collaboration will be released tomorrow (10th July) in Louis Vuitton stores, and will also be available from a pop-up store in Selfridges London in August.The collaboration consists of Kusama-created patterns and polka dots on wallets, bags, scarves, clothing and beach wear.

And it looks as though Jacobs has big things planned for the collaboration. The collaboration is said to showcased around the globe in specially designed pop-up shops....

PARIS HAUTE COUTURE FW 12/13......BREATHTAKING!!

The Paris Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2012/2013 shows are kicking off and so far the collections have been breathtaking!

Versace kicked off the haute couture show at the Ritz Paris, the perfect setting for the capivating show. Versace's collection was fabulous; glamorous and sexy in true Versace style, with sorbet colours and attention to detail embellishment.

The eagerly anticipated collection for Dior was next up; Raf Simmon's debut collection for the fashion house.The collection was all about timeless beauty, elegance, and classic femininity with clean lines and a neutral colour palette, with an exception to a few pops of bright colour. Here at Elpromotions we absolutely love this new marriage in fashion, and can't wait to see what else is to come!!
